  I was very, very lucky to have come across these guys when I lived in (shudder) Rochester, NY. Since I moved back to SillyCone Valley, JNCS has built me a wonderful, appropriate, computer for what I do (C, C++, Python coding for scientific and engineering apps), and has built computers for two other friends (one crazy high-end, the other more modest) . They listen, have a ton of ideas, and you never feel like you are buying Lakeside Property in Death Valley. I cannot recommend them too highly. I have always worked with Adam, but from what I gather, the overall ethic there that owners John and Nancy seem to have makes for a bunch of amazing folks. I don't know of a place in the US that comes close to what these folks provide for custom builds.
